Academic Coach
Executive Functioning, Math and Science - Middle and High School
Meyerson Education Services is looking for an empathic and encouraging academic coach to support middle and high school executive functioning, math, and science.
We are looking for academic coaches who can help students break through their academic barriers and find confidence. Our academic coaches are experts in their subject matter who are able to plan for sessions, connect with students, track progress, and communicate with families and schools. We support our coaches through check-ins, training, and resources.
Ideal candidates have a master’s degree in a related field of education, classroom or teaching experience, and professional communication skills. Teachers who love teaching and are retired from the classroom or who want to make some additional money after school are great candidates.
Qualifications
5 years of teaching or tutoring experience
MA in education or special education with emphasis in middle grades and upper grades, math or science
Expertise in coaching students with ADHD and other learning differences in executive functioning skills and writing
Reliable transportation and internet connection
Ability to pass a background check
Job Responsibilities
Conduct up to twenty 50-minute coaching sessions per week
Prepare a plan and student materials for each session
Record session notes
Draft and send follow-up email to parents and school
Arrive promptly at the session location
Present as polite, clean, organized (have all necessary supplies), and punctual
Attend bi-weekly to monthly updates with supervisor to report out and plan next steps
Participate in ongoing, science-backed training
Pay Rate and Application
Part-time per-session rate $60.00 - $140.00 (includes prep and follow-up).
